Executive Board

The HBIGS Executive Board represents the highest decision-making body of the Graduate School. It consists of six elected members, including one speaker or two speakers, and the PhD student speaker. All matters regarding composition of the Graduate School, curricular and extramural activities, and students’ acceptance are decided by the Executive Board. The Executive Board oversees and directs the financial affairs of the Graduate School. Mandates are for three years with the option of re-election.

Elected Board members are:
Prof. Friedrich Frischknecht (Speaker), Dr. Ilka Bischofs, Prof. Alexis Maizel, Prof. Gislene Pereira, Prof. Andres Jäschke, Prof. Nora Vögtle

In addition, the Dean of the Faculty of Biosciencs, Prof. Rüdiger Hell, and the Dean of Graduate studies, Prof. Michael Lanzer, are ex officio members of the Executive Board with full voting rights.
