Career Service
Recognizing that an ever-increasing number of doctoral students eventually take up positions in industry after graduation, HBIGS provides career guidance and individual career planning for the next career step after the PhD. HBIGS also organizes various extracurricular courses and events tailor-made to the specific needs of the HBIGS doctoral faculty to better prepare them for leadership positions in the private sector and to help them finding suitable career prospects outside academia.
Career Development Service
Career development is more than just finding a suitable job and sending out applications. It is a process in which you identify your professional goals and analyze your personal strengths. Learning more about your personal work preferences and determining the next steps in this process can help you achieve your career goals. Therefore, I offer individual one-on-one coaching in strictly confidential career sessions to all HBIGS doctoral students at any stage of their PhD and beyond. I also organize career development courses as well as career and networking events.
